Maternity Division
The first few weeks home for any new parents can conjure up a mixture of emotions. From total joy at having your new bundle home to a new level of stress whilst you try and work out feeding, sleep routines, appropriate clothing, correct room temperatures – the list goes on and on! This is where a Maternity Nurse can step in and help a new family to savour the good times, being on hand for advice and guidance on a one to one level. At the same time they make sure not to take over but to allow mum and dad feel in control as new parents and able to cope on their own when the Maternity Nurse leaves!
A Maternity Nurse will come into a family for 2 to 8 weeks (or longer if required) after the new baby is born. They will use their expertise to work with you as new parents, to establish a routine that works for your baby and your lifestyle. Normally a Maternity Nurse would work on a 24/6 basis so they are also on hand during the night and able to give mum some proper rest! For any subsequent children a Maternity Nurse can really help to make the transition of introducing a new sibling easier and leave your home a calm, happy and relaxed environment.
The London Nanny Company have a specialised Maternity Division with over 15 years experience in providing experienced and qualified Maternity Nurses within London, throughout the whole of the UK and overseas. We recognise that this is an extremely special and personal time and whilst you will be looking for a Maternity Nurse who shows professionalism, knowledge and experience in the care of your new baby, you will also want someone with warmth and understanding.
At the London Nanny Company, our experienced Maternity Consultants will take the time to understand the choices you have made for childbirth and parenthood in order to select exactly the right support for your family. We thoroughly interview all our Maternity Nurses in person, to ascertain their experience and suitability for the maternity roles we have. Only those candidates who meet our strict criteria regarding experience, qualifications, police checks and references will be registered.
